Welcome to the Lagoon. I assume you’re here because you saw the reference to the site in my iPhone Pocket Guide and would like to get the lowdown on hacking your iPhone. Here’s the dope:

Ben Long has composed two very helpful walkthroughs on hacking the iPhone to install third-party applications. Both are on display at Mac Publishing’s iPhone Central. Both are Mac-centric so if you’re using a Windows PCs, well, have you heard that modern Macs can run Windows too?

The first, The iPhone Hacking Kit, Step by Step, details how it was done in the “old days” (meaning the month or so after the iPhone was released). If you’re comfortable with Unix (or want to get more comfortable with Unix by walking through this walk-through) take a look.

But honestly, if you want to hack your iPhone the easy way, Ben’s iPhone Hacking Kit, The Next Generation gives you the lowdown on the modern, easy-does-it way.
